I came up with an idea, scratched on a piece of paper with a fine tip sharpie, last weekend for a painting. I have been pinning images on an Idea board on Pinterest for months now and decided it was time to do something big. So last month I stretched a watercolor paper canvas on a home made wooden frame and just pulled it out to use. I have been saving it for something special.
I started working on the canvas yesterday and have already put over 12 hours of work into it. This is one of the largest watercolor paintings I have done and I know I still have at least another 12 hours before it is finished.
The subject is pretty dark and i am trying to think of a name for it. I will probably call it Famine or Plague, but we will see. I hope to show it at the Folk Yard show at Boothster in Portland on February 15th.
Here are some photos of the progression of the painting.

IWTMYA Update!
I Want To Mail You Art Update:
I am happy to say I have now received enough entries to publish my first I Want To Mail You Art book! 42 people have sent me their notes, thoughts, art, addresses and random findings and in return I have sent them all original pieces of art, plus a bonus Holiday gift to 26 of the first people to enter. I have been planning on making this project into a book and eventually an art instillation piece in a gallery. I have not found the gallery yet and am probably going to wait for 100 entries. I am working hard on the book now and will post the information here and on Facebook, Twitter and Tumbler.
A big thanks to all that have already participated! This project is ongoing so please share the info with all of your friends.

I was so honored to be apart of this amazing art show by White Lady Art in Dublin, Ireland, last Friday. Here is some video of the art that was there. My instillation was "The Unfortunate Zookwash." It is a book that I created about the murder of a character.
I asked the public to solve the crime and write the ending. I will be publishing the book and all of the responses...stay tuned!
