New Earrings New Cat
I recently began making earrings to be sold individually that are like mini sculptures dangling from your ear. They are made from found objects and some from leather and sued. There are industrial shapes and some organic shapes.
The other part to this post...we have aquired a new member to our family. Meet Daphne. She is a beautiful little cat with such an affectionate personality, she even let's me carry her around wrapped around my neck. She has been a glimmer of hope in our bad luck streak we have had.

My new hat!
I decided to bite the bullet at buy a new hat (instead of making one) while I was at Steamcon. The lovely and talented ladies from WWW.noxenlux.com were fabulous and had such unique and fun things! Steamcon 3 Thursday
We arrived in Seattle just around midnight. The Hyatt is beautiful but we still don't know where we are going to be. I am working on the art project for the gallery...I will be up as late as it takes to finish the Nautilus Journal. I can't wait for tomorrow it will be awesome!

Creative Night
It was an amazing creative night and I am now exhausted. I made a journal, 3 new USB drives, a pendant and we are almost done with the surprise journal for Steamcon! We also made a new display for our shows. There are now vertical displays that will hold all of my journals and jewelry with no problem. We can't wait for Steamcon!

Happy Birthday
This is a gift I am working on for a wonderful friend of mine. He is a writer so I have filled this journal with lots of blank paper. I just have to finish sewing the signatures in and add a few more embellishments. I hope he likes it :)

Book Binding and Coffee
I woke up this morning ready to create. I am extra tired but trying to push through it to bind these journals. I am binding in signature #12 in the new journal now with a wonderful cup of hot coffee sitting beside me. Now if only I can remember to take a sip between stitches!

Life Reevaluated
About 10 days ago I had to undergo emergency surgery. I had a ruptured ectopic pregnancy that resulted in some internal bleeding that was just hours away from killing me. I lost a child, as well as my left ovary and fallopian tube. I am physically healing from my surgery just fine but I feel the emotional tole will leave me out of commission for weeks and maybe months to come. Between most of my art being stolen in June, nothing really coming from all the work I put into the fashion shows and now loosing a pregnancy and part of my body, I am feeling a bit lost.
Please send some good karma my way. I am in need of some great thing happening to pull me out of this funk.

Custom Titanium Ring
Andrew just finished this stunning titanium wedding band. He hand turned the ring on his lathe and then hand carved the star burst in it. I am just stunned at his workmanship on this piece! Bravo Mr. Anglin!
Art Titles
I am going to stop naming the individual pieces of jewelry art and USBs. I spend most of my time listing something trying to think of names for all my art and I feel like I am waisting precious creative moments. So from now on I will label the piece by the number I have given it. The journals will still have names as will some of the complete outfits I design.
